The Father Heart of God

The Beatitudes – Matt 5:3-12 “ O LORD, you have searched me and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O LORD” (Psalms 139:1-4 NIV). Scripture

The Beatitudes – Matt 5:3-12 That word is “know”. Similar words found in the verses are “perceive” and “discern”. Together, the definition and synonym for “know” appears a total of five times (This the confession of David) The Repeated word from verses 1 to 4

The Beatitudes – Matt 5:3-12 God knew David. Also, God knows each one of us. Why is that? “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb”(Psalms 139:13 NIV). It is because God created David and all of us in His own image. We are copies of the original, one, true God. We are all children of God. The confession of the David

The Beatitudes – Matt 5:3-12 The word “Father” includes the following connotations. "God, you are beginning of my life" "God, you are the root of my life” “God, you know everything about me” “God, you take responsibility for me” The word “Father”

The Beatitudes – Matt 5:3-12 He went through unimaginable suffering, yet he confessed the following. “No one knows me. But, God knows me”. “But, He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I will come forth as gold.” (Job 23:10 NIV) The confession of Job

The Beatitudes – Matt 5:3-12 "The woman wears make-up for the man who loves her. However, the man gives his life for someone who acknowledges him” (The Records of the Grand Historian by Sima Qian). An old Chinese expression

The Beatitudes – Matt 5:3-12 if we are willing to give our lives for those who acknowledge us, then how much more exciting is it for us to know that the Almighty God acknowledges us? Even our parents, spouses, and children cannot understand our deepest thoughts the way God understands our every thought. Only God know our deepest thought !

The Beatitudes – Matt 5:3-12 in verse 1 “O Lord, you have searched me and you know me.” Translated in the Hebrew language, the words “have searched me” becomes “ḥăqartanî” which means “digging to look for water or metals buried underground.” That means God closely examines and searches our hearts. The Bible is telling us that because God searches our hearts, He knows our hearts. “ ḥ ăqartanî”

The Beatitudes – Matt 5:3-12 We cannot hide our Hearts from God. We can fool other people, but we can never fool God. The Almighty Lord, our king understands our heart. Not only that, but this same God is our Father. God’s understanding of us provides us the strength and hope to overcome any and every hardship. God understands our hearts

The Beatitudes – Matt 5:3-12 The word “know" in the scripture is "yāḏa" in Hebrews. The Hebrews word "yāḏa" first appear in Genesis 4:1 "And Adam knew Eve his wife” (KJV). The term “yāḏa” does not mean “to be cognitive” or “to conceptualize” an idea. It means to become one, through an intimate relationship and to experience each other like a husband sleeping with his wife. When God says he “knows” us, it means He has an intimate and deep relationship with us. "yā ḏ a"

The Beatitudes – Matt 5:3-12 Despite having the intelligence of a 7- year-old boy, Sam raised his daughter in place of her mother who ran away shortly after giving birth. When the daughter, Lucy, becomes eight years old, a social worker insists that she cannot be raise by Sam because of his perceived low intelligence. She is eventually taken away from Sam to be adopted by new stepparents. The movie “I am Sam”

The Beatitudes – Matt 5:3-12 Sam wants to get his daughter back but the judge does not believe that he is capable of raising Lucy. The judge asks Sam one question. “With only the intelligence of a 7 year old, how do you expect to raise your daughter when she becomes 8? Wouldn’t it be better to raise her in a better environment? ” The movie “I am Sam”

The Beatitudes – Matt 5:3-12 To this question, Sam replied, “Her new stepparents might be able to give her a better environment and things she wants, but they don’t know who she is. I know who she is!” God tells us, “I know your everything. I am your Father.” The movie “I am Sam”

The Beatitudes – Matt 5:3-12 *Looking back at Psalms 139 Verse 2 to 4. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O LORD” (Psalms 139:2-4 NIV). To what extent can we say that God knows us?

The Beatitudes – Matt 5:3-12 if a Ford car breaks down, we do not take it to a Hyundai auto shop to get it repaired. The most effective repair job can be done by the same manufacturer. Any problem with a copy can only be solved when we look at the original. For example

The Beatitudes – Matt 5:3-12 God is our Creator and our Father and He knows everything about us, and He still loves us. He holds the key to solving all of our problems. We must give our problems and burdens to God in order to fix them. We should expect His work to be evident through us. Please keep this in mind!
