The Neolithic Times. By Abagael Havkin

Food Supply In the Paleolithic Age, they didn’t have a stable food supply. During the Neolithic Age, creating a stable food supply got easier. This was because of the invention of Agriculture. One big part of agriculture is farming. People discovered they could plant seeds and grow crops instead of eating wild plants. Another important part of agriculture is domestication. Domestication is when you raise animals to be used for human's needs. They'd use sheep, goats, and cattle for meat. Goats and cattle provided milk, and mules helped carry heavy loads

Shelter In the Paleolithic times the hunter-gatherers, nomads, lived in temporary tent like structures because they moved around so often. In many occurrences in the Neolithic age, people packed mud bricks together to create round or rectangular shaped houses. Sometimes, they would add tree branches to the mud to strengthen the walls and roof. these houses had openings high in the walls. They would climb ladders to reach the openings and enter the house. Pits used for cooking and places to store food were dug into the floor.

Trade Nomads rarely traded with other groups because they were more concerned with their own resources and the resources around them. As the people in the Neolithic Age were getting more skilled with crafting, they wanted materials that would increase the strength and beauty of what they were making. The people who got those things were traders. Some of the objects they sent to get were obsidian and hematite. Obsidian was used for knife blades, arrow heads, and mirrors. Hematite was an ore that was used as a beauty product

Jobs Working on one job at a time instead of multiple at once improved there results. Farmers learned how to grow 14+ crops. Tailors wove wool and linen, which are natural fibers, into a more comfortable cloth. Some divisions mined flint which could be used to make sharper tools. The Neolithic wanted to make life comfortable and beautiful. Creating new Jobs enabled them not only to do that, but to learn new skills and evolve. In the Paleolithic era, people's number one job was finding food. In the Neolithic age, they had a stable food supply, which enabled them to have new jobs. In the town of Catal Huyuk there were many new jobs. That includes weavers, farmers, tool makers, basket makers, and traders.

Communities In the Paleolithic era, groups of traveled in search of food. As a result of agriculture, people settled down and formed communities. Some communities are Catal Huyuk and Jericho. This made living more comfortable and organized, People could enjoy themselves and get tasks more efficiently and faster.
