Plant Hormones Controls of growth, development and movement
2
General plant hormones Auxins Gibberellins Cytokinis Abscisic acid Ethylene
3
Function Where Found in Plant Hormones 1-Auxin can delay fruit ripening. 2-Stimulation of cell elongation; cell division in cambium. Embryo of seed, young leaves, meristems of apical buds Auxin 1- In some plant species enhancement of stomata opening. 2- Stimulation of cell division, growth of lateral buds Synthesized in roots and transported to other organs Cytokinin
4
1- Leaf and fruit abscission 2- Fruit ripening is stimulated Tissues of ripening fruits, nodes of stems, senescent leaves and flowers Ethylene 1- Stimulation of closing of stomata 2- Inducing seeds for synthesizing storage of proteins Leaves, stems, green fruit Abscisic Acid
5
1-Stimulates stem elongation. 2- It can end seed dormancy in plants that require light for induction of germination Meristems of apical buds and roots, young leaves, embryo Gibberellin
