8 Mission Statement for English Language Learners Menifee Union School District endeavors to teach English Learners in an active learning environment where quality instruction challenges and expands the students’ individual strengths and values their cultural backgrounds. All students make efficient progress through the stages of language acquisition. Students’ self-esteem is fostered through literacy and academic success. This will enable our students to become life- long learners in a global society. 10 ELD Required for All ELL Students Until Reclassified ELL students are enrolled in a regular English Immersion Class- room and taught in English using Universal Access resources from standards-based core curriculum adoptions.
