2. Introduction Our group conducted an experiment on the effect of Centrum vitamins added to Nasturtium plants. Our purpose of this experiment was to figure out whether the vitamins made for the human body effect plant growth.

3. Hypothesis Our hypothesis was: If we water the Nasturtium seeds with water that contains the dissolved vitamin Centrum in them, then the plant growth rate will increase by an average length of three inches.

4. Materials One container of Centrum vitamins Four plastic bottles (Two round and Two square) Soil Twelve Nasturtium seeds Water Graduated cylinder Ruler Scissors Phone (used for picture uploads)

5. Procedures Cut the four plastic bottles with scissors so that the top half and the bottom half portion of the bottles are separated (dispose the top portions) Put soil at ten centimeter point of ten plastic bottles. Put three seeds in each of the bottles Label each bottle telling whether it will be watered with vitamin or not Place each of the plant in sunlight To moist the soil, water all plants with twenty-five mL. of water

6. Procedures (cont.) Dissolve two of the half tablets of Centrum in water in two separate graduated cylinders. Water the two bottles with vitamin dissolved water and the other two bottles with plain water (fifty- five mL.) Continue to water the same way, everyday, except weekends (only water with Centrum every other day) Record data, and continue observation After the last observation, create lab report

8. Calculations Our group’s experiment did not have any calculations because we didn’t have enough information that was collected from the plants. The amount of seeds planted for each of the different groups was not enough for accurate calculations.

9. Data Analysis Our observation made from the experiment was that the Centrum vitamin does have a positive effect on plant growth. An error might have occurred during our experiment when we changed the amount of water given to the plants on the second week of the experiment

10. Conclusion Our group conducted an experiment on the effect of Centrum vitamins in Nasturtium plants. Hypothesis was: If we water the Nasturtium seed with the vitamin Centrum, then the plant growth rate will increase by an average of three inches. Our finalized observation was that the Centrum does help the growth of the plant. However, we cannot conclude that our hypothesis is validated because we didn’t have enough data collected to determine the result.
