2. Paula Benson  Started out as an Accounting Major at Meredith College  Soon decided that Accounting was not her desired field and moved to Public Relations  Currently works at Wilson 20/20 as Executive Director

3. Wilson 20/20  Here Mrs. Benson is responsible for working with community groups and leaders  She serves as a liaison between the two parties and is very connected with many in the community  She says that most of her day involves meetings and heavy communication, but no day is ever the same

4. Skills and Qualifications Needed  Mrs. Benson says that it is important that people involved in the Public Relations industry are good communicators  Some days you have to smile at people and tell them it’s going to be ok, even if you don’t necessarily know that it will be  Social media skills are becoming much more important and useful

5. Other Useful Facts  Mrs. Benson said that it helps to be an extravert in this field, you also have to be able to adapt to change  Schedules are almost never fully set in stone  In terms of Advertising vs. Public Relations, both fields are extremely useful. Advertising involves more creativity than PR but both are growing and involved in almost every company and organization
