2 Purpose of the survey To understand and support Member Learning and Development needs where appropriate To support those professionals responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of those needs

3 Some information… Survey live from 29/07/11 to 25/08/11 29 out of 46 LA’s responded Survey comprised of 3 main areas:  Member L&D resources  Priority areas for Member L&D  Progress with the Regional Councillor Development Charter

4 The Benefits of the Survey (EMC) To give a greater understanding of the impact that budget constraints are having on Member Learning and Development in order that regional (funded) support can be provided To identify the priority areas for Member Learning and Development To identify any additional support that Member Development Officers would find useful

5 Benefits to Authorities Survey feedback will help shape/influence how regional funding can provide products/services to support member learning & development in authorities. Sharing of information, experience, documentation, resources at network meetings and Communities of Practice (CoP’s)
