2. Welcome! We are very excited about meeting you. Please take a moment to move through the classroom. We’re going to have a great year!

3. 5 th Grade Schedule

4. SPECIAL AREA Mrs. Hagan’s class splits for special area and you will be given schedules on the first day of school. Please plan on wearing tennis shoes on Monday. We will have additional developmental play time spread out over the course of the week.

5. Technology We have the following: 7 student computers An interactive board A mounted projector Audio Enhancement (speakers in the ceiling) A document camera 6 iPad Mini (and more to come!)

6. Important Information Time for Kids is a weekly current events publication that is used in LA and SS. Time for Kids and Agrirama Deposit = Please make a check to KLES or use an envelope for cash. Clearly indicate your child’s name in the memo section or on the envelope. Replacement planners cost $4.00. $20.00

7. Agrirama Georgia’s Museum of Agriculture and Historic Village opened as the Agrirama on July 4, 1976. The grounds consist of five areas: a traditional farm community of the 1870s, an 1890s progressive farmstead, an industrial sites complex, rural town, national peanut complex, and the Museum of Agriculture Center. Over 35 structures have been relocated to the 95-acre site and faithfully restored or preserved. Costumed interpreters explain and demonstrate the life-style and activities of this time in Georgia’s history. Agrirama is our first field trip. We will travel to Tifton, Georgia, where students will experience life on a turn-of-the-century farm. The cost is about $45. It’s our first field trip!

8. Field trips and Fees Please make your checks out to Killearn Lakes Elementary Sea World is the only other trip we will take this year. There will be two payments of about $40 each (a total of $80) later in the year.
