3. Task As a journalist, you know that you have to start the writing process by doing research. You will need to visit some websites to gather info to use for your business letter. You may have already decided on the performer who you want to support for induction into the RRHOF. If not, think about some of your favorite music performers while you are doing your research. This activity will allow you to recognize and verbalize what qualities you value in music as well as in a performer. It will also give you the opportunity to practice writing while you develop your public speaking skills. As you research your performer and the induction process be sure to take plenty of notes and write down your thoughts and ideas along the way. You will be using this info to formulate your letter and design your candidate poster. Remember: Your goal is to convince the admissions panel to induct your chosen performer into the RRHOF.
