(SC.O.7.1.05) apply skepticism, careful methods, logical reasoning and creativity in investigating the observable universe. (SC.O.7.1.07)

2 Monday QUIZ!!!! 1.What is Scientific Inquiry? 2.What is one example of Scientific inquiry? 3.What is a fact? 4.What is a theory? 5.

3 Monday, Sept. 14th 3 Bell-ringer: You have 10 minutes to finish your Scientific Theory lab’s. Those of you who are done, quietly read. Reproduce: Plants and animals reproduce sexually, some plants and animals reproduce asexually (on their own). Sense their surroundings: Plants and animals can detect changes in their environment and respond accordingly. Now, in your groups, take 5 minutes to come up with one way to remember these words. 6 Grow: All living things grow and develop through different life stages. Respire: (need oxygen and air) humans and plants respire. Excrete: (they get rid of waste) If living things did not get rid of waste they would get sick. Nutrition: (need food) living things get sugars from food and key nutrients that are needed by the body. Now, in your groups, take 5 minutes to come up with one way to remember these words. Bacteria and Achaea, are made of prokaryotic cells. Contain DNA: This is the genetic material of living things, it is contained in the nucleus. It provides all the information which is needed to make another cell. Use Energy: They use energy, that is made from eating food and the process of respiration; where sugar reacts with oxygen to produce carbon dioxide, water and ATP (energy). All living things also have the following characteristics:
