I work for a large, international CPG company and am an IT manager. My company has been using GS1 standards for a long time and are heavy GTIN users, so we’re looking at increasing efficiency. I hope to leave GS1 Connect with an awareness of best practices and new ways to leverage existing information and systems. My company was one of the first users of U.P.C. barcodes so we are well aware of the advantages of GS1 Standards. Government regulations play a very visible role in our organization, so we are keenly aware of complying with the Food Safety Modernization Act and GS1 DataBar compliance. I hope to leave GS1 Connect with new ways to improve visibility in our supply chain and help in complying with government regulations. My company uses GS1 standards, but I am new in my role and have never been to GS1 Connect before. I’m especially interested in GTIN allocation, Data Driver and how to protect our brand during mergers & acquisitions. I hope to leave GS1 Connect having learned the basics about GS1 standards.
