2 KNOWLEDGE & UNDERSTANDING/1 The basic theories, principles, concepts, methods and approaches to the practice of SW, work with individuals, families, groups, communities and organizations The theory of human development and behavior in the social environment, discrimination, inequality, social structure, social institutions and organizations, vulnerability and resilience The values and ethical principles in their work with clients

3 KNOWLEDGE & UNDERSTANDING/2 Relevant national and international research in SW practice and SP measures and knowledge of the ways in which research is conducted how findings can best be used in practice The approaches and methods of planning, implementation and evaluation of services and programs; Understanding the limits of SW and awareness of other ways of understanding social issues (through law, economics, sociology, theology, public health…)

4 APPLICATION OF KNOWLEDGE/1 Demonstrate a critical understanding of the SW profession in particular environments Critical understanding of the impact of socio- structural inequalities, discrimination, social and economic injustice in human functioning and development Cooperate inter-professionally at the level of institutions local communities and the state Apply practical skills and knowledge required for assessment and intervention at the micro, mezo and macro level for the purpose of development, protective, preventive and / or therapeutic interventions

5 APPLICATION OF KNOWLEDGE/2 Communicate effectively, to assess, intervene, find information in different sources of information in order to improve their own practice Apply values, ethical principles, knowledge and skills in identifying, addressing and confronting inequality, social, political and economic injustice Use knowledge from different disciplines to solve problems, overcome inequality, vulnerability and social exclusion Apply an understanding of cultural and ethnic diversity and gender equality into practice

6 ANALYSIS AND SYNTHESIS Acting in accordance with SW knowledge, ethics and values, when meeting people with complex needs Being able to collect, prioritize, analyze and evaluate data and evidence for assessing the environment Using research findings to meet the needs of individuals, groups and communities in society and to inform and evaluate practice Communicating successfully to develop and sustain successful relationships Presenting information from a range of sources both verbally and in writing

7 EVALUATION A willingness to examine your own education and how it best informs practice Planning of further academic or vocational education and training
