3 What to do? Step 1: Line up the numbers as if there were no decimals Step 1b: DO NOT add ‘0’ as place holders Step 2: multiply as if you had whole numbers Step 3: count the number of decimal places in each number Step 4: the total will be how many decimal places are in your answer
