Accommodations = Changes in procedures or materials that increase equitable access during assessment for students who have documented need on an Individualized Education Program/Plan (IEP) or 504 Plan.

15 Assigning Accommodations 15 Embedded and non-embedded accommodations are assigned to students through the Maine Educational Assessments portal. Accommodations can be assigned to students by the District Assessment Coordinator, School Test Coordinator, or IT Coordinator. Access the portal: https://maine.measuredprogress.org https://maine.measuredprogress.org

16 Text-to-Speech Accommodations Text-to-speech accommodations must be assigned to students prior to scheduling tests. If a class is already scheduled to test, assign accommodations and click the Generate Missing Student Logins button within the Test Details page. If a student logs in to the test and the text-to-speech accommodation has not already been assigned, the test must be invalidated by the state, and the student must be scheduled for the test again. 16

The remaining Custom Masking, Zoom, and Reverse Contrast will remain accessible for students to utilize. This will not be required in an IEP or 504 plan

25 Become Familiar 1.Know the purpose of each Embedded Tool and online feature; 2.Ensure students know how to find and use each embedded universal tool or online feature correctly by providing opportunities to practice.
