HAVEN OF THE OZARKS ANIMAL SANCTUARY QCBMF Grant Submission

There once was a magical place called the Haven, Stray dogs and cats lives they were a savin’ For the last 20 years, to help the animals find a new home, The staff and volunteers worked their fingers to the bone All of the time and dollars spent at this place, Go directly towards putting a smile on every animal’s face The focus has always been on the animals in our care, But meanwhile the property didn’t get its fair share There’s always something that needs to be fixed And without the help of our friends, this place would be nixed Right now our biggest need is a barn to store supplies, Because our current sheds look like a place that zombies go to die Each winter we use lots of straw to keep our dogs warm and nice, But the trailer for straw storage has become a Haven for mice! Please help us remove these crappy and dangerous piles of sh** And purchase a new pole barn where all of our supplies can fit! You know we love all things furry at our place, So come on out for a good puppy lick to the face! We want to lick your face!

GET THIS HUNK O’ JUNK OUTTA HERE! This is the old trailer that we use to store our straw in during the winter. As you can see it is blocking the view of the BEAUTIFUL playpen donated by the QCBMF and is not an ideal storage unit. The ceiling and walls have holes in them and it is difficult to get in and out of to access the straw. Most importantly, the straw is getting ruined, which is a waste of money. You will also notice, we have nowhere to store our extra dog houses, so they are stuck outside to deteriorate in the elements.

These old sheds are now falling apart, and it’s scary to even walk inside one of them. So, as you can see, the staff has found it easier to just store things around the sheds, rather than inside of them! We do store mowers, tools and some supplies inside the most stable shed, but we would love to get rid of all of them and build one nice storage area in their place. ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

If we are lucky enough to be chosen as the grant recipients, we would use the funds to go towards purchasing a building similar to the one in this photo! We have already done some price shopping and gotten some building quotes, and this would cost us approximately $12,000. The time frame for completion once it is ordered is approx. 4 weeks. Storage Solution Solved! Ooohhh, aaahhh!

Most importantly, keeping our facility In good condition helps us take the best possible care of the homeless animals of Southwest Missouri! We receive no government funding and rely on fundraisers and donations. The funds you would raise would make a HUGE difference for the Haven! We appreciate all you do for the local charities and for the Haven, and our furry faces look forward to seeing your furry faces out here soon! Why help us?? The greatness of a nation and it’s moral progress can be judged by the way it’s animals are treated. -Gandhi
