9 General Overview Program Administrator (PA) serves as SMUD’s audit delivery channel for small and mid-sized businesses. –Holistic, multi-measure audits –Value proposal left for customer –Identify suitable products –Identify suitable contractors –Facilitate project completion –Ensure quality and positive customer experience.

10 Measures and Savings Basis Energy savings claims are based upon California Municipal Utilities Association (CMUA) Technical Reference Manual (TRM) –Unit Energy Savings Measures –Semi Custom Measures –Custom Measures

11 Trade Allies PA will manage a group of trade allies who meet predetermined participation requirements and training

12 Program Standards and Procedures PA will develop standards to ensure: –Customer relationships meet SMUD’s standards –Audits and analyses are consistent –Trade allies are managed consistently –Construction requirements are met by trade allies. –Data is exchanged with SMUD’s Demand Side Management (DSM) tool.

13 Quality Assurance and Quality Control PA will develop protocols to ensure: –Positive customer interactions –Corrective actions for trade ally issues

14 Auditor / Salesperson training PA will develop a training curriculum for field auditors and salespeople.

15 Tracking and Reporting SMUD uses a Demand Side Management (DSM) tool. A file exchange process is required PA must use measure naming conventions that match SMUD conventions

16 Rebate Prepayment Cash flow must be adequate to prepay rebates and wait for SMUD reimbursement.
