3. Behavior Management Positive Approach for ALL students Students have a pom-pom jar for class reward Students have individual charts for classroom coupons Parent communication will occur ONLY if the behavior reoccurs and distracts the learning environment

5. Homework Homework will be assigned Monday-Thursday Homework will reflect what was taught that day as a review and practice Homework will be graded for proficiency Homework will count as 10% of their grade

Homework Reading- 15-20 minutes every school night Writing- reading reflection with 2-4 sentences answers Math- practice examples Spelling- one week based on vocabulary workbook, one week based on words from their daily writing Handwriting- practice manuscript and cursive Projects- intergraded throughout the curriculum

13. Technology Students receive their own IPad 40 minute class devoted to technology Graded based on National Education Technology Standards for students The goal is to develop skills that enable students to function in an increasingly complex and informational rich society

Technology Students will learn – Basic operations – Technological problem solving and decision skills – How to create multimedia presentations such as digital stories – Resources for researching – Solve current hardware problems – Use digital instruments & measurement tools – Debate effect of existing & emerging technologies
