2 Olivia Gottman August 2015

3 GPA 5.82 weighted. Attending University of Central Florida. Received Top Ten Knights Recognition for being in top ten percent of Durant’s Senior Class. Plays Flag Football, has served at Team Manager for Varsity Football & Volleyball. AAAU Junior Olympic gold medalist for baton twirling. Serves as journalist for Brandon Focus Magazine for the Athlete and Team of the Month articles. Loves to make jewelry, paint and do ceramics in her spare time.

4 Kenlee Andreu September 2015

5 GPA 6.2 weighted. Will attend University of Florida. Received Bright Futures Academic Scholarship. Cover Girl for the 2016 Durant High School Calendar and a Calendar Girl for April 2015 and August 2014 in previous years. Chairman of Student Government and Vice President of the Leo Club. Taken mission trips to North Carolina and Guatemala. Would love to attend Pratt Institute of Technology in New York to take classes in Fashion Design.

6 Robert Fisher October 2015

7 GPA 5.29 weighted. Attending University of North Florida planning to major in business and then obtain an MBA and work in the automotive aftermarket. At Newsome High School he put together a program to raise funds to benefit people with Parkinson’s disease. Involved in Minor Politics, Anti-bully, Fellowship of Christian students and Environmental clubs. An active BMX racer. Qualifying for State Championship Races. With his free time he loves to work on cars and skateboarding.

9 GPA 7.01 weighted. Attending University of South Florida. Received National Merit MetLife Foundation Scholarship and Genshaft Global Presidential Scholarship (from USF) to name a few. Serves as President of Mu Alpha Theta and involved and active member with National Honor Society, Key Club and Student Council. Valedictorian of her senior class of 477 Brandon High School Eagles. In her free time she enjoys piano, violin and video games.

10 Jacob Cannon December 2015

11 GPA 7.03 weighted. Undecided for College, accepted to Georgia Tech, University of Florida and University of Central Florida. Received Anne Frank Humanitarian Award, University of Virginia Jefferson scholar nominee, and Wofford Scholar nominee. Serves as President of Political Education and Discussion Club, as well as Student Government, Treasurer for National Honor Society and Senior Class. Serves as Coach of the Bloomingdale HS Best Buddies Basketball Team Champions! Loves stand-up comedy, writing, politics and science.

13 GPA 5.75 weighted. Was selected as Miss November for the Durant High School Calendar and was a member of the Homecoming Court. Was voted as the Senior with the Best Personality. Plays Flag Football, volleyball and tennis. Traveled with missionary work in Brazil. In her spare time she enjoys caring for animals, photography and spending time with family and friends.

15 GPA 4.2 weighted. Attending Hillsborough Community College. Serves as Senior Class President and Student Government Secretary. Plays tennis, soccer, swim, cross country and track teams. As a senior was selected as Brandon High School’s Homecoming Queen. Loves photography, playing soccer and running in her spare time.

17 GPA 6.14 weighted. Attending University of Central Florida. Received 2016 Provost Scholarship Award, USF Presidential Award and USF Honors College Scholarship. Involved Class Council, Mu Alpha Theta, Science Club, National Honor Society and Pho Kappa, to name a few often serving as an officer. Volunteers at the Bloomingdale Regional Library, and has since her freshman year. In her spare time, she enjoys community service, reading, video games, biking and swimming.

18 Taylor Watkins April 2016

19 GPA 5.228 weighted. Attending University of North Florida. Received Bruton Memorial Scholarship. Member of National Honor Society, Senior Council, FCA, ASL and many others. Plays Soccer and Cheerleading. Volunteers her time at Family Promise which works toward housing and feeding the homeless and teaches Vacation Bible School. Taylor loves the great outdoors, including hunting and fishing and doing crafts.

21 GPA 5.4 weighted. Serves as President of Student Government and Vice President of the Leo Club. A member of the D-Crew (a school based dance team) and served as Capital of the Flag Football team. Will be the first in her family to attend any type of university/college. Enjoys working with foster children with the Baptist Children’s Home in Lakeland Florida. Hobbies include exercising and spending time with family.

23 GPA 5.98 weighted. Attending University of South Florida. Received a $12,000 academic scholarship from USF and Florida Medallion Scholarship. Serves as Captain of the Brandon High School Track Team and enjoys cross country and basketball. Member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta and BHS Show Choir, Aquilla. Serves as a speaker for the religious organization Impact Tampa Bay, where he talks with students about remaining abstinent from sex, drugs and alcohol. Loves to play video games, board games, basketball and to spend time with family.

29 Elks Hoop Shoot Hoop Shoot The Elks Hoop Shoot free-throw contest has served to highlight the Elks commitment to America’s youth. From the millions of youngsters who participate and advance through the local, district, state and regional competition, six national champions are named – one boy and one girl in each of the three categories: ages 8-9, 10-11 and 12-13. The Elks goal with this program is to provide a character-building, competitive program for all girls and boys.
