3. Why can only few taxi drivers speak English? How can they offer service to foreign tourists? 3

4. In order to trace international trends, the government will provide free English courses to taxi drivers. If taxi drivers well-prepare and pass the exam will be certified and recruited into Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport to pick up the foreign customers or visitors. 4

5. Background of Car Training Center of the Directorate General of Highway The Car Training Center of the Directorate General of Highways asked for designing an “EASY TALK” training program for taxis drivers from the Department of Applied Foreign Language at Choayang University of Technology. 5

9. Course context The purpose of this training is to give the drivers the opportunities to apply what they have learned into the actual world of their need. They are expected to attend all classes during the first ten weeks and complete all course requirements. 9
