3. Cosmic prayer During solar and lunar eclipses the sun earth and moon joins in a cosmic prayer, all aligned in a straight line. The sun is the prayer leader (the imamam) with the moon and earth to its right as in three people prayer. In a solar eclipse, the moon’s shadow falls on the earth prostrates in surrender to God In a lunar eclipse, the Earth’s shadow falls on the moon prostrates in surrender to the creator. It is wise and exiting for us to join this cosmic prayer, the eclipse prayer.
