2 Background GYT (a)It is a faith and community based organization, with registration number ORS/102/53/258 and registered recently under the U.S. federal Government’s System for Award Management (SAM) – 850528131/ SSW48. (b)In Zambia, it is registered as a Community Service Organisation

3 Background (c) It is a non-profit making entity which aims at carrying out appropriate community projects according to focus areas (Livelihood, Water & Sanitation, HIV & AIDs, Education and Advocacy) regardless of race and tribe, religious and political affiliations.

4 Mission & Vision Mission: To empower the needy, vulnerable and poor through capacity building, access to resources and encouraging development actors and duty bearers to scale up their development efforts. Vision: An empowered society taking charge of their lives.

5 Target It targets mainly the vulnerable, poor, needy and marginalized to empower them to take charge of their lives and also to access their rights through advocacy and encouraging duty bearers, development actors and religious organizations to scale up and get more involved in charity work that targets real areas of needs.

7 Brief History GYT was founded in 2011 and legally registered on 17 th January 2013. One of its objectives is to empower both youths and children in both urban and rural areas in the areas of education, life saving & entrepreneur skills and improved livelihoods.

The project involves donation of 10 computer per school and training teachers in computer literacy for them to transfer the knowledge to the pupils. January to December 2013 Lions Club of Australia (190 computers) Ministry of Community Development, Catholic Church in Mongu town, One World Africa (OWA) Donation in kind 4Solar electrification of 500 households in Rural areas of zambia (three provinces namely Southern, Western and North- Western). January 2013 to June 2014 Indian Government (The donation is in kind as only solar equipment shall be shipped to GoYeTherefore in Zambia) Barefoot College of India (bunker_roy@yahoo.com), Ministry of Community Development, Catholic Church in Western province What has been done so far -Signing of an MoU with barefoot College -Transfer of funds to Barefoot college
