3 1. Introduction to project To develop an android based application for mobile phone/tablet to aid and assist the Student for accessing the College Management System (SMS). With the help of this mobile application a student can access SMS on his/her fingertips. NEWS : This module provides facility to view the College News/Events which are published by college staff. His will keep update the student about an notices published by college staff. RESULT : This module helps the student to check the examination time table/schedule and results of the same. This will help the student to check the result of any examination or examination time table or class time table remotely. QUERY :This module provides a mean to interact the student with a college staff for any queries or support.

4 Continued…… USER DETAILS: provides facilities to both staff and student to view/edit/update details of students like Student name, Register Number, Semester/Year, etc. In addition to the above it also provides a way to check student status like attendance, fine, etc. ATTENDANCE : Using this module a student can view the how much they attended the classes. NOTIFICATION : In this module student should will check the exam timetable, last date of exam fee etc.

5 2. SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS Client: Android operating system v2.3 (Gingerbread) or Higher. Android Virtual Device (AVD) in case running from PC Emulator. Server: Java Runtime Environment (JVM) JBoss or Apache Tomcat Web Server MySQL Server

6 2. HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS Client: Android Based Mobile Phone/Tablet with minimum Android v2.3 (Ginger Bread) or higher. Internet Connectivity (GPRS/Edge/3G/WiFi) Server: Intel/AMD Based Computer with minimum 512 MB RAM and 500 MB Hard Disk Storage space

7 3. SYSTEM STUDY Existing System Student cannot access student record or result by using mobile. It can provide only max to max interface like PC or laptop.

8 Proposed System To develop an android mobile phone application. By using this student can access student record by using mobile through internet. This will help the student to check the upcoming examination or timetable remotely. SYSTEM STUDY

9 4. SYSTEM ANALYSIS FEASIBILITY: The main objectives of the feasibility study are to test operational, technical and economic feasibility of the proposed system. This is done by investigating existing system. A stage where everyone will test the feasibility stage contains following factors to access.
