4 Relationship with Nottingham Plan (Sustainable Community Strategy) ‘Spatial expression’ (where should we build things) Will facilitate delivery on almost all key SCS targets: Economic targets Net Additional Housing Family Housing/Mix Health Access to education, jobs and services Congestion Green targets Satisfaction targets (quality of place) Engagement targets Integrated and better service delivery targets (Council and partners)

6 What Area 6 Said last summer… Will strategy result in a more balanced supply of housing? -Too many apartments -Need more 2 bedroom dwellings (See Policy 8) Sports related development at Holme Pierrepont?(see Policy 12) Relocation of Football clubs?(see Policy 12) Need to take into account number of vacant homes in planning for growth(see Policy 2) Provision for cyclists needs improving. Mountain bike centre at Cotgrave?(see Policy 13) Caves system needs protecting(see Policy 10) Urban extensions need to: -Integrate with the city -Build on public transport links -Provide open space -Provide jobs for city residents (see Policy 3) New developments should be of lower density and have more open space(see Policies 8 & 10) Local retail centres felt to be very important- Sneinton Market/Carlton Rd(see Policy 6)
