3 Decentralised Energy Canada (DEC) is the only technology accelerator in Canada committed to Decentralised Energy (DE) with offices in Calgary and members throughout the country. We are Canada’s market access hub for the Decentralised Energy (DE) Industry. We connect with over 7,000 Canadian energy stakeholders including over 2,000 Alberta companies to accelerate the uptake of decentralised energy*. Our vision is a sustainable energy future where affordable, efficient and reliable Decentralised Energy (DE) technologies are deployed in community driven markets and enabled by progressive policies and legislation. Our mission is to accelerate DE technology commercialisation at three stages: 1.Applied research prototypes and pilots 2.Market entry and first customer 3.Commercialisation and market growth * Decentralised Energy is defined as heating, cooling or electrical energy that is produced, managed and/or stored at the point of consumption. Technologies include wind, solar, hydro, waste to energy, combined heat and power, bioenergy, fuel cells as well as energy efficiency measures. We are a technology accelerator building the competitive advantage of our members by accelerating the commercialisation of decentralised energy technologies and attracting capital to this key industry sector.

4 2016 Green Energy Doors Open (GEDO 2016) in Alberta is the result of a partnership between DEC and the Ontario Sustainable Energy Association (OSEA). This is the third year of GEDO Alberta running parallel with GEDO Ontario. This year, GEDO will take place over three days from Friday, September 9 th to Sunday, September 11 th. We are proud to have CTV Two as our media sponsor providing exclusive media coverage for GEDO 2016 sponsors. Our goal is to raise awareness, understanding and support for DE by providing people with the opportunity to visit, see, touch and talk about the projects in their own backyard. GEDO showcases the most pioneering DE projects in Alberta. This initiative has significant impacts on environmental stewardship and education. GEDO event hosts in DEC’s network will open their doors to the public to showcase their success. Green Energy Doors Open (GEDO) is an annual, province- wide showcase for DE projects, businesses, manufacturing sites and education programs.

5 GEDO 2016 has exciting sponsor opportunities structured to bring you the greatest value. Become a sponsor and join other leaders in Alberta that are creating awareness and understanding of the importance of sustainable energy by supporting GEDO. DEC works year-round to find the best partners and the most diverse event hosts. GEDO is solely funded by DEC and sponsors like you. GEDO is financially supported by our Sponsors making it possible for tour hosts and attendees to participate at no cost. The DEC team guides and supports event hosts providing them with resources, marketing and PR activities as well as event organisation support.
