Welcome to Worship April 10, 2016

Clicker Check: What are you most thankful for today? a) Spouse b) Family c) Church d) What you are having for lunch e) Don’t ask, it’s a bad day

Missions without evangelism: A) Serves as temporary relief B) Has no eternal consequence C) Is easier D) All of the above E) I don’t know

a) Learn biblically based Doctrine b) Hang out as Christians c) Communion (and other such sacraments) d) Prayer and worship e) Lead people to accepting Christ

Remember you were to invite someone to church. a) Didn’t do it. b) Forgot to do it. c) I invited but they didn’t go d) I invited and they did go e) I’m not paying attention, what's the question again?

How often do you share your faith? A) Never B) Seldom-Never C) Not as much as I should D) Better than most, but could still improve E) I make the apostle Paul look timid

My goal is to provide you with the tools for you to do your job as a Christian. a) It helps a little b) It helps a lot c) No change d) I don’t like it e) It’s a waste of time

But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 16 keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander.

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

1) Be prepared to share about your faith. 2) The purpose is to glorify God. So lets get prepared…

a) I could easily answer each of these questions b) I could answer some but not all c) I don’t know the answer myself d) I would not even try e) I’m not paying attention, what's the question again?

Don’t waste your time arguing with people. Unless you happen to enjoy it, you are not going to get anywhere. This is only beneficial to someone who is genuinely searching. Matthew 7:6 Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces

Are you living a life that inspires this question? Are you exemplifying the hope that 1 Peter 3:15 talks about? Is your light so shining before others as Matthew 5:16 says?

A) Faith through hard times. B) Uncompromising values. C) Faithful fellowship with a church body. D) If they see you reading the Bible or praying. E) All of these

What verse would you use? a) John 3:16 (for God so loved…) b) Rom 3:23 ( for all have sinned and fall short ) c) Rom 3:10(there is none righteous, no, not one ) d) Rom 6:23 (the wages of sin is death ) e) 2 Cor 9:7 ( God loves a cheerful giver )

Faith. Too simple. What do you see in Jesus? John 6:68 Simon Peter answered him, "Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.”

Bad people, do not prove or disprove the existence of God. These people are not accurately representing the God of the Bible. Do not let someone's behavior keep you from the truth.

a) Good (Ps 163:1 Give thanks to the Lord for He is Good) b) Powerful (Ps 33:6 By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth) c) Loving (1 Jn 4:8 He that loves not knows not God for God is love) d) Just (Ps 25:8 Good and just is the LORD; therefore he instructs the sinners in his ways.) e) Holy (1 Pet 1:16 “Be holy for I am Holy”)

Rom 3:23 (for all have sinned and fall short) Rom 3:10(there is none righteous, no, not one) Rom 6:23 (the wages of sin is death)

We should not stand in judgment of a non-believer. That is God’s job. We should however be concerned for the lost. We are to intervene however in the case of a Christian.

Verses: James 5:20 remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins. Matthew 18:15 If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over.

a) God is not really in control b) Everything that happens, happens according to God’s will c) God really wants us to have free will, regardless of our choices d) Only the guilty suffer e) God wants suffering so that we rely on Him

1) God allows for free will. 2) Creation is in corruption. (Rom 8:21) 3) God is waiting until all come to repentance. (Matt 13:30) 2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Does believing change the reality?

Based on what? What does the Bible say?

a) Accept b) Believe c) Confess
