5. 2013-2014 Highlights Spring, 2014 semester registers a record 11,384 “fully online” students in both AP and non-AP degree programs. 2013 sees 2953 graduates in online degree programs at UTA. Campus receives two national awards for quality from United States Distance Learning Association, bringing UTA total to six since 2007. Supplemental Instruction (SI) for UTA online learners launches. UTA joins national e-tutoring consortium. College of Nursing launches international MOOC-to-Degree offering in Patient Safety. Gates Foundation supported international MOOC Research Initiative Conference, December, 2013. LINK Research Lab founded, to research networked learning, open educational resources (OER), new educational technologies UTA active in SARA national state authorization reciprocity planning.
