2 Details, Details, Details O Prescott Pines Camp, Prescott, AZ O Located on 85 acres adjacent to the Prescott National Forest O Located at approximately 6100 feet altitude O Has been providing Outdoor Education facilities for over 10 years O Licensed by Yavapai County to operate a camp facility O Member of the Prescott Chamber of Commerce

3 When? O Wednesday March 5th - O Depart Fulton 9 am O Lunch stop at Sunset point rest area O Arrive at camp approximately 1:00 O Friday March 7th- O Depart camp after lunch, approximately 12:00 O Return to Fulton by 2:00ish in time for dismissal…and SPRING BREAK!!!

4 Classes Offered (6 hours total) O Low Rope Challenge O Team Quest Challenge O Archery O Orienteering O Owl Pellets O Trebuchet Toss O Forensic Science O Wilderness Survival O Forensic Science O And many more!

5 Facilitated Fun O Night Hike O Hay Ride O Campfire - yes this includes S’mores!!! O Scavenger Hunt O “Talent” Show

6 “Free” Time O Basketball O Volleyball O Soccer O Ping Pong Foosball O Hiking O Human Foosball O Quiet reflection time ( one can dream )

7 How Camp Groups Work O ALL 6 th graders are placed in 4 class groups at camp (about 30 kids per group) O Class groups are made up of a mix from all four 6 th grade classes. O Groups are made by the teachers O During class time, these groups travel and learn together…with their chaperones (1/4 of the chaperones per group) O Always supervised

8 Cabin Groups O Prior to camp we will allow the kids to submit a “roommate request.” O They will be guaranteed at least one of their requests O Girls= 3-4 per cabin O Boys = 5-8 per cabin O The goal is to branch out and meet some new friends

9 Food and Lodging O 2 nights lodging – O bring your own bedding, towels, and toiletries O 6 meals - served “all-you-can-eat” buffet style (please let your teacher know about any special dietary needs) O All this and snacks too! O We will be asking for some donations as camp nears.

13 Meals O Buffet Style O Kids eat with their ROOM chaperones O Bus their own tables O Snacks provided during class transitions in the afternoon

14 HOW CAN YOU HELP O Chaperone O Make sure your kiddos are prepared O Physically O Mentally O Behaviorally (contract will be sent home) O Medications O No nurse, just us. O Must be cleared through the school health office O Get ready to hear some great stories!

15 HOW MANY CHAPERONES ARE NEEDED? O Based on our current numbers we will need: O 16 Moms O 14 Dads O Numbers are based on beds per cabin

16 CHAPERONE EXPECTATIONS O Responsible for a small group of kids O In cabins O At free time O During/after meals O Any time they are NOT in class groups O Set an example, be the role model O Observe/participate in classes O Have fun!

17 Sounds Great….now what’s it going to cost me? O Fee per student - $110 O Fee per chaperone - $110 O Cost for bussing - approx. $2,500 O Total approximate cost $14,000
