NIWA has obtained TFBIS funding to upgrade the LakeSPI database and information delivery mechanism. Changes to current web functionality will include: No home page any more - users will directly land on lake search. “About”, “Technical Details”, “Contact” (current webpage tabs) will be directly accessible from lake search page along with new LakeSPI reporting. Modern (‘google style’) Webmap for locating lakes. Users can select one or multiple lakes on map. Modern (autocomplete) lake name search available. Lakes data sourced from authoritative source.
