4 Ramses II Reign Ruled the 19 th Dynasty of Ancient Egypt 1279 B.C.-1213 B.C (Roughly 67 years) Ruled during the New Kingdom Known as the “Great ancestor”

6 Tutankhamen Family Father was a Great Pharaoh of Ancient Egypt from a long line of Pharaohs Father was Akhenaten who had married one of his sisters This family line believed in marrying within the bloodline to keep the blood line pure

7 Tutankhamen Family His Father changed Egypt from a Polytheistic Empire to a Monotheistic Empire. His Father abandoned the traditional gods for a new sun god named Aten

19 Tutankhamen Building Projects Due to a weakened economy and returning the country to the worship of the old gods, most of Tutankhamen's building projects were small and religious in nature

20 Ramses Building Projects Ramses built more Monuments and more Temples than any other Egyptian ruler Most were dedicated to himself and the gods They were built to show his dominance over his people and his enemies

25 Tutankhamen Death Cause of Death is unknown. It is believed he may have been murdered or died of a genetic disease

35 Ramses Aftermath Ruled longer then any Egyptian ruler Left dozens of heirs and a powerful Empire behind Believed to have been the Pharaoh of the Exodus in the Bible Empire would strive for years following his death

36 Tutankhamen the Man Was a boy that relied on military and political advisors to help him rule Left little record of his rule due to how short it was

37 Ramses the Man Led a long and eventful life Left thousands of paintings and Monuments about his reign Believed he was invincible Made his own decisions and feared nothing
