3  Over a period of time, trends change. Musicians find new ways to entertain their fans. Actors practice outrageous stunts to surprise their audience and television shows create new storylines that are more appealing to their viewers. During 1989, this seemed to be the trend. New music, movies, and television shows were created to wrap up the 80’s and bring in the 90’s.

4  Topic Sentence: During the late eighties, music took a new spin.  Detail: For example, Paula Abdul created the original song “Cold-Hearted Snake” that still plays today. She had fans jammin’ in the car and dancing the night away (Smith 2).  Commentary: This shows that The music industry was full of fresh beats, and original artists.  Concluding Sentence: Overall, music during 1989 set the bar high for the artists in the nineties.
