Your Neighborhood Who is in your neighborhood? What places do you go to? Who lives there?

Your State: California Where do you live in the United States? California is on the West Coast. Can you find it on the U.S. map?

Your Country: The United States The United States is in North America. Washington, DC is our capitol. Canada is to the North, and Mexico Is to the South.

What rights do you have? Laws are created to protect your rights. With rights, you have responsibilities!

Government What is the role of the U.S. Government? Are there governments in other countries? How do laws protect our rights?

Other Kids! You will meet other kids too! You will write a letter to someone from another country. You can ask what their government is like.
