1 Printing: Your printer might not print the same way our printers do, so make sure to try a couple of test prints. If things aren’t aligning quite right, experiment with the Scale to Fit Paper setting. It’s located in the Print dialog – just click Full Page Slides to get to it. And did you notice we made fold marks for you? They are really light, but if you don’t like them showing on your brochure, click View, Slide Master, and delete them before you print. Customizing the Content: The placeholders in this brochure are formatted for you. If you want to add or remove bullet points from text, just click the Bullets button on the Home tab. If you need more placeholders for titles, subtitles or body text, just make a copy of what you need and drag it into place. PowerPoint’s Smart Guides will help you align it with everything else. Want to use your own pictures instead of ours? No problem! Just click a picture, press the Delete key, then click the icon to add your picture. If you replace a photo with your own and it’s not a flawless fit for the space, you can crop it to fit in almost no time. Just select the picture and then, on the Picture tools Format tab, in the Size group, click Crop. There is an issue with communication because the teacher should have properly taught about health and safety before beginning the practical and signs about proper safety attire should be around the classrooms. Another case study shows the teacher being caught in a fire after proper gear was not worn. This is an example of communication not being clear when the teacher was being trained. The third case study showed that the school lab was broken in and trashed. Even though there were security guards patrolling the school’s perimeter, it shows that proper procedures were not taken into account because people managed to sneak it. The lab has dangerous substances so it should be heavily secured so no accidents take place overnight.

Merit Key Clients Services Offered Communic ation Reason for communica tion Why communica tion must be clear Safety signsSo people in the lab know what do in a fire. If people don’t know the lab protocols during a fire, someone could get burnt. Oral teachingPeople are verbally taught practicals so they’re able to fully understand it and ask questions if needed. If people are not taught then someone may make a mistake in a practical resulting in an accident to themselves, others or the apparatus. TextbooksTo be able to have instructions during a practical. It must be clear or mistakes will be made which means someone might get injured. Communic ation Reason for communica tion Why communica tion must be clear Instructions on whiteboard So people can reference to the whiteboard anytime during a lesson. If instructions are unclear, it may cause misunderstan ding and confusion resulting in accidents Written labels on chemicals So they are stored in the appropriate areas. If they are stored differently, it may be used for an inappropriate experiment which could cause inflammation. Hazard symbols on chemicals or around the room So people know how dangerous/fla mmable/irrita ble a chemical is. If symbols aren’t around the room then it people wont know how dangerous a chemical/app aratus is then people would get injured. Communic ation Reason for communica tion Why communica tion must be clear Oral/written report if substance is spilled So someone trained and equipped can take care of it. If a spillage isn’t reported, then someone may get irritated because of the substance or slip, causing a hazard. Training to use apparatus So technicians are able to use it. If they’re not trained, they would use the apparatus wrong and could endanger people in the vicinity. Ordering chemicals from technicians for practicals So chemicals are ordered. If technician is not told, there will be no practical. Know who to report to So accidents such as lab injuries are reported to higher ups. If not, nothing will be done about the accident.
