4 21-07-0341-00-0000 HOKEY WG New revision of HOKEY re-authentication solution draft draft-ietf-hokey-erx-04.txt Issues: Re-authentication DoS attack in ERX bootstrapping Dependency on key distribution mechanism WGLC will be issued after resolving the issues 3-party key distribution draft There was a consensus in IETF69 meeting to rely on AAA protocol security to distribute keys During consensus call over the mailing list, AAA proxy issue was raised: AAA proxies sitting between HOKEY nodes (NAS, EAP server, HOKEY server) can still see the key Pre-authentication problem state draft draft-ietf-hokey-preauth-ps-00.txt No pre-authentication solution will be defined in HOKEY WG

5 21-07-0341-00-0000 EMU (EAP Method Update) WG RFC2716bis (EAP-TLS) is ready to go to the IESG and EAP- GPSK should be soon to follow Development of an EAP method with password support Two methods are investigated: EAP-TTLS PP-EAP (draft-zhou-emu-pp-eap-01.txt) There was rough consensus in IETF69 to focus on a password mechanism There was interest in basing this mechanism on EAP-TTLS Liaison presentation from TGu on the requirements for an EAP method for emergency services Issues on server-only certificate-based authentication in terms of security and signaling overhead EMU WG is preparing liaison response to TGu
