4. If you receive a disciplinary action, make sure you know what you did and how to correct the situation. Be open to what you can learn from a performance review. Don’t hear it as criticism. Listen and learn.

5. Be the best, set goals, and know your company’s policies if you want to get ahead on the job. If the company doesn’t provide a uniform or have a dress code, be smart about what you wear. Take your cues from those around you, especially your supervisor.

6. Conserving materials and supplies will show your respect for the company. Having a positive attitude will make the workplace better and you happier.

7. What to Do If You #@$% up! Say you are sorry. Make it right. Fix it. Serve your time. Pay the fine. Don’t do it again.
