1. EMERGENCY MEDICAL EVALUATION DESCRIPTION  Respond to emergency situations which arise in the vaccination clinic: assess the condition of the patient and obtain consent to provide treatment.  Determine the cause of the emergency ie, whether it is medical or traumatic, has high or low priority,and determine if transport to another medical treatment facility is indicated.

2. EMS  Function within license restrictions and approved scope of service.  Remain in a predetermined area of the clinic in an on call status for the duration of the assigned shift.  Plan for patient transport requirements that may arise during vaccine clinic operating hours.

3. EMS  Notify the Medical Team Leader at the end of your shift that you are departing and be prepared to provide a report to the oncoming EMS personnel.  Wear the usual duty clothing and identification badge for easy recognition.  Make suggestions in writing to the Clinic Manager that might improve the utilization of EMS personnel at the vaccination clinic.
