1 Messy Church-Help needed It's Messy Church on Sunday 21st February at the Methodist Centre, 3.30-5.30pm. We are a bit short of helpers this month so if you fancy helping out either in the kitchen or running a craft activity, please speak to Helen Greenwood (07779 667818). Churches Together Soup Night for Lent This year the focus will be on Leeds as a City of Sanctuary and Welcome. There will be a variety of speakers who will share their thoughts on this topical issue. All are very welcome. The event will be held at Stainbeck URC Thursday 10th March at 7.30pm. Community Organising Taster Day Jennie Firth of Leeds Citizens would like to invite you to an upcoming event. You’re welcome to come and join Tom Chigbo, who is hosting an action packed session. (free lunch included). The day will look at such things as building a team, moving from listening to action and connecting our values and faith to practical action. CONCERT FOR CHRISTIAN AID A FUND-RAISING concert in support of Christian Aid will be presented by singer Gareth Davies Jones on Friday, March 4 th, 7.30pm at Emmanuel Methodist Church, Huddersfield Road, Barnsley S75 1DT. Gareth will be performing a collection of his folk songs. For tickets, £5 each, ring the office on 01226 321511. Housegroups generally meet on Monday, Tuesday and alternate Thursday evenings. Please see notice board in corridor. Tuesdays - Totally Tuesday for Years 5-7, 6.30 - 8pm in Chapel All. Methodist Hall. CHAPEL A FRIDAY EVENING GATHERING Friday Night Gathering is an opportunity to spend some time learning to be in the presence of God and experiencing His power through worship, prayer and some teaching. The dates of the next three meetings are: 4/3/16 and 1/4/16 at 7.45pm. The venue is Mark & Rachel Riches house and it would be wonderful to see as many of you as are able to make it. CHURCH MEETING Come along to our next Church Meeting on Monday 7th March at 7.45pm at the Riches’ house. We’ll be welcoming some new members, agreeing the budget for the coming year and listening to the report on child-friendly church. We'd really like to start at 7.45pm as there's so much good stuff happening, so please come earlier than usual! Help needed
