How Many Shapes make this design? How many Layers? What do you think is the 1 st layer (bottom layer), 2 nd layer, 3 rd layer, 4 th layer, and 5 th layer (top layer) is ?

Open Up Microsoft Power Point and start a new presentation. Save it as Layering, Grouping, Flipping

Shape Fill = Gradient Type=Path Stop1=Grey Stop2=Red Shape Outline Color = Solid Red Width = 8 pt Cmpnd Type = Double Dash Type = Round Dot Cap Type = Square Joint Type = Bevel Shape Fill = Texture-Granite Shape Outline Color= Solid Black Width= 5 pt Compound Type= Simple Dash Type= Dash Cap & Joint Type= Round Shape Fill = Solid Red Shape Outline Color= Solid Black Width= 10 pt Compound Type= Triple Dash Type= Solid Cap & Joint Type= Round

COPY SLIDE 1 AND PASTE IT FOR SLIDE 2. - ROTATE 1 DIAMOND SHAPE - BEGIN “LAYERING” / ARRANGING - GROUPING AND SHRINKING - FLIPING VERTICALLY AND HORIZONTALLY

COPY SLIDE 2 AND PASTE IT FOR SLIDE 3 - GROUP SHAPES TOGETHER TO FORM ONE SHAPE - COPY IT - FLIP IT - ROTATE IT - FREE ROTATE Once it is group you can resize an image in proportion. It is always easier to make an image larger and then resize it smaller

When your thinking of creating something realistic, you need to try and visual what kind of shapes and objects you could combine together to form that object using the drawing tool bar. It is important to use copy and paste as much as possible. If there is pattern to something create only the first part of the pattern and then copy and paste it. Don't forget about the copy format command/button. You can always make 2 identical objects or shapes something look a little different by resizing, free rotate, or flipping it horizontally or vertically.

1 1. CREATE A MOON SHAPE THAT WILL BE USED FOR A PEDAL AND FORMAT IT (FILL AREA COLOR AND FILL LINE COLOR)

2 2. COPY AND PASTE SHAPE ENOUGH TIMES FOR A ¼ OF THE FLOWER. WHILE YOU COPY AND PASTE USE FREE ROTATE, ARRANGING (LAYERING) AND POSITIONING TO POSITION SHAPES INTO A ¼ OF THE FLOWER.

3. COPY AND PASTE THE ¼ OF THE FLOWER 3 TIMES. WHILE YOU COPYAND PASTE USE FLIP, FREE ROTATE, ARRANGING(LAYERING) AND POSITIONING TO POSITION SHAPES INTO A WHOLE FLOWER. 3

4. CREATE A SHAPE USED FOR THE CENTER OF THE FLOWER AND FORMAT IT ( FILL AREA COLOR AND FILL LINE COLOR). 4

5. GROUP ALL OBJECTS TOGETHER 5

6. COPY AND PASTE FLOWER SEVERAL TIMES. THEN USE RESIZE, POSITIONING, AND ARRANGING (LAYERING) TO FORM BOUQUET. 6

FLOWER PROJECT ● START A NEW POWER POINT PRESENTATION AND SAVE IT AS FLOWERS ● CREATE A MINIMUM OF 4 DIFFERENT KINDS OF FLOWERS BY FINDING PICTURES OF REAL FLOWERS ON THE INTERNET AND RE-CREATING THEM USING THE SKILLS YOU HAVE LEARNED ON MICROSOFT POWERPOINT. ● 2 FLOWERS – CREATE A FLOWER REPRESENTING YOUR BACKGROUND ● A flower that is native to a specific city, area, region, state, country of your father, mother, grandparents, guardians, yourself. ● 2 FLOWERS – CREATE A FLOWER REPRESENTING A PLACE YOU WOULD LIKE TO VISIT ● A flower that is native to a specific city, area, region, state, country of a place you have visited or would like to visit some day. ● CREATE EACH FLOWER ON ITS OWN SLIDE WITH THE REAL PICTURE IN THE BOTTOM LEFT CORNER OF THE SLIDE. ON THE 5 TH SLIDE COMBINE THE FOUR FLOWERS INTO 1 BOUQUET BY COPY AND PASTING MULTIPLE TIMES AND USE RESIZE, FLIP AND ROTATE TO FORM A BOUQUET OF 8 FLOWERS. YOU SHOULD HAVE A TOTAL OF 5 SLIDES.
