Serpentine Channel Demonstration Documentation on the setup and simulation of a complete basic injector-separation channel model design

Serpentine Design The “Library Manager” window pops up Click on Demo_Nodas, you will see Demo_Design under Cell and schematic under View Right click on schematic under View and click Open on the drop down that appears

Aside - Things to know A Library contains a number of Cells A Cell can have multiple Views This demo only needs veriloga, symbol and schematic Views Veriloga and symbol views are provided of commonly used components in the NODAS_FLUID library You can create your own Veriloga views A schematic view is used when we build a system or a design out of several components You can put pins in a schematic, and create a symbol view of the schematic too Symbol schematic

Serpentine Design- Schematic When we open the schematic, the “Virtuoso Schematic Editing” window appears as shown This is the serpentine design we will first simulate Click on toolbar menu: Tools->Analog Environment

Serpentine Design – Simulation setup An “Analog Design Environment” window pops up Click on toolbar menu: Session ->Load State Click state1, make sure all the boxes in the diagram are checked and press OK

Serpentine Design – Running simulation Click toolbar menu: Simulation->Netlist and Run

Serpentine Design - Simulation results A “log window” and a “Waveform Window” appear like the one shown below We will understand how to read them later

Wiring The two components need to be connected through wires There are again three ways to select the “wire” tool One way is to go into the toolbar menu: Add->Wire (narrow) w Another is to use the hotkey “w” And the third is to use the button shown below on the side toolbar
