3 What is Bullying? Bullying is any ongoing physical or verbal mistreatment where there is: an imbalance of power and the victim (target) is exposed repeatedly to negative actions on the part of one or more other students. Discuss with a partner what you think bullying is. "Treat others the way you want to be treated" 3

6 Did you know? The word “bully” used to mean the total opposite of what it means now. Five hundred years ago, it meant friend, family member or sweetheart. The root of the word comes from the Dutch boel, meaning lover or brother. "Treat others the way you want to be treated" 6
