2. Stem-and-Leaf Plot Basics A stem-and-leaf plot is a graphical representation of data where the ones digits are listed as “leaves” off the stem and the numbers to the left of the ones are listed in the “stems” column. The “leaves” are always listed in order from least to greatest.
