2 Preoperational Thinking Children learn that objects and words as symbols-that could represent something so that they can recognize the item Children learn through fantasy play and dramatic play which they imitate real life situations – Ex. Playing house or school Egoentric viewpoint is also how they learn and that is where they will view the world in their own thoughts or feeling – Ex. A child giving their mother a stuffed animal when the mother is feeling sick Children also have limited focus which means that they have trouble focusing on different objects at the came time

3 What Is Intelligence? Although the ages of the kids they still are the preoperational period. Children learn to read and count- the basis of later work of school.

4 Multiple Intelligence Verbal-linguistic Logical-mathematical Visual-Spatial Musical Bodily-Kinesthetic Interpersonal Intrapersonal Naturalistic

5 Helping Children Learn Four, five, and six years-old learn from a wide variety of experiences: (Ex. Parents and Care givers.) Always can give children compliments on what they are doing Asking the kids questions will help them think in many different ways Giving the children suggestions will help them think of different ways to do what they many be doing Another thing that you might try as a parent is asking for the child's advice

6 Children's learning abilities Children that enjoy reading and have an interest in it will have an easier time learning
