2 Going to Jerusalem to Suffer  I MUST GO (Luke 9:51) As the time approached for him to be taken up to heaven, Jesus resolutely set out for Jerusalem.  NO, DON’T (Matthew 16:21- 22) … [Jesus] must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, chief priests …. {22} Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. "Never, Lord!" he said. "This shall never happen to you!"  IT’S GOD’S WILL (Luke 22:42) "Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done."  I MUST GO (Acts 20:22-23) "And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem… in every city the Holy Spirit warns me that prison and hardships are facing me.  NO, DON’T (Acts 21:11-12) “the Jews of Jerusalem … will hand him over to the Gentiles." {12} When we heard this, we and the people there pleaded with Paul not to go up to Jerusalem.  IT’S GOD’S WILL(Acts 21:13-14) I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus." {14} When he would not be dissuaded, we gave up and said, "The Lord's will be done." Jesus Paul

5 Your Testimony  I have a past.  I have been transformed (by faith in Christ).  I have an assignment.

6 How God Works in Hard Times  Submit to God’s will in trials.  Release, Rest, Recommit  Experience God’s Faithfulness in Trials.  Watch God work and deliver.
