1 Geometry Figures BY: Jack, Harry, Jane, and Libby

2 Points A point is where lines meets. There is a point at every vertices.

3 Line A line is a straight line that goes on forever in both directions.

4 Line Segment A line segment is a piece of a line. It has a point at both ends. Line segments don’t go on forever.

5 Ray Ray has a starting point but it goes forever in one direction. It’s like a ray of sunshine.

6 Right Angle A right angle is exactly 90 degrees. It makes a perfect “L” shape.

7 Obtuse Angle This type of angle is anything bigger than a right angle. It measures over 90 degrees.

8 ACute Angle This angle is smaller than 90 degrees. HINT: To remember it, think...Acute angles are “cute little angles.”

9 Parallel Lines These types of lines run next to each other forever without ever touching. They are the same distance apart all of the time.

10 Perpendicular Lines These types of lines make 4 right angles. They make a perfect cross.
