4 Survey Methodology Sample Size: 2,820 responses, representing 83.3% of higher education enrollments. Participants: Active, degree-granting institutions of higher education in the U.S. Collected by Babson Survey Research Group and the College Board.

5 6.7 million students across the U.S. are taking at least one online course.

6 In 2012, 86.5% of higher education institutions had online learning offerings.

7 Private, NFP institutions have shown the greatest increase in online offerings in the last ten years. Full online programs doubled!

8 Learning Outcomes Over 75% of institutions believe online learning is “just as good as” or better than face-to-face courses.
