4 Five Main Stages Introduction to project Training on technology Brainstorming ideas, characters, plot Editing and posting films Watching films and recording dialogue

5 Stage One: Introduction to Project Model video by professor created on goanimate.comgoanimate.com Interpretive mode: students listen and answer/react Students receive a sheet with project description and expectations as well as timeline

6 Stage Two: Technology Training in language “lab” on goanimate.com. goanimate.com. Basic service is free and easy-to-use. Students must sign-up prior to the technology session. Individuals have time to play.

7 Stage Three: Creation Students work in pairs to brainstorm ideas: Interpersonal. Choose characters, themes and scenes. Must work together to create an animated video that has narrative cohesion. Target language is used throughout.

8 Stage Four: Editing and Posting Films Students complete final edits outside of class. Save the video and post to D2L in a discussion forum.

9 Stage Five: Viewing and Recording Viewing of another group’s video posted on D2L. Interpretation and discussion of what they have seen: Interpersonal. Recording of dialogue and reposting: presentational. Sample
