6 Tryout Group Formation Process Sort Players by Prior Experience Level Group Assign Ranking Profiles to Groups (1,2,3) Sort by Ranking Profile and Assign Groups from Top to Bottom(1,2,3,4) Sort Groups in ranking order and alternately designate Blue or White Assign skating order by alternating ranking groups within a color Groups are divided by Last Name, then the jersey # order is by jersey sizes Skating order that presents players skills to evaluators without bias to prior skill level

8 Tryout Overview 2015-2016 – Squirt Group 1 Third of skaters & all goalies Group 2 Third of skaters & all goalies A Pool Top 24 skaters and top 4 goalies from Days 1 & 2 DAYS 1 & 2 DAYS 3 & 4 Group 3 Third of skaters & all goalies B Blue Pool Equal distribution into 2 pools of skaters and goalies not selected for A Pool B Team Selection *Schematic based on 3 teams per level; brackets & numbers adjusted for 4 or more teams Bracket A Top 6 rated skaters; 2 selected by coaches to each team at the B level Brackets B thru F Next 6 highest rated skaters; 2 selected to each team Final Player Rankings Bracket G Remaining ranked skaters eligible for each level; equal # selected to each team Bracket H Top 6 rated goalies; 2 selected to each team A Team Top 15 rated skaters and top 2 rated goalies after Day 4. A Team Selection NOTE: B teams will be an even dist’n of the 9 skaters and 2 goalies from the A Pool that do not make the A team and the top 32 skaters and 4 goalies from the B Pools B Gold Pool Equal distribution into 2 pools of skaters and goalies not selected for A Pool C Team Selection *Same general process as above, but with 3 skater brackets and a single goalie bracket. Reassign Groups created by distributing players By Last Name, Then Jersey size Players that do not make the cut line reassigned to C
