7 Idiom Activity 1. Use an idiom you know, or you may draw one from the basket. Draw two pictures side by side. One side will show what the idiom sounds like, or the literal meaning. The other side should show the understood meaning or what the idiom actually means. 2. Write the idiom on the top of the paper. For example: “Hold your Horses” 3. Write a sentence at the bottom of the page using the idiom. Your sentence should show your understanding of the meaning of the idiom.
