2 What are the northern lights ?  Natural lights in the sky  Observe in the night  In northern latitudes  Oxygen and nitrogen emissions  The collision of solar wind and magnetospheric particles

3  In northern latitudes, the effect is known as the northern lights, named after the Roman goddess of dawn, and the Greek name for the north wind.  Green or brownish-red, depending on the amount of energy absorbed.  Blue or red. Blue if the atom regains an electron after it has been ionized. Red if returning to ground state from an excited state.  The Earth is constantly immersed in the solar wind.
