The Terrible Triangle

Once there lived a triangle. Who like all triangles was always busy as a bee. The things he liked to be most were a sail on a sail boat and a piece of pie. His favorite thing of all was to be a end to a tent and listen to scary ghost stories to tell his friends. They always cheerfully listened.

Soon the triangle began to feel gloomy. He went to the shapebaker and asked her to add 3 more sides and three more angles. “Just hope into my magical oven please,” said the shapebaker. “WOW!” said the triangle, for now it was not a triangle, it was a hexagon! He jumped happily.

Once again the shape was happy. For now it could be a snowflake, a hole in a bee hive, and his favorite thing of all was to be a pretty diamond ring, so he could sparkle and shine. His friends thought he was stuck up because he never really talked to them any more. I’m so nice looking! Like my ring?! Yeah!

Soon the hexagon became dissatisfied. He went to the shapebaker. “Can you give me 2 more sides and to more angles. Then I will be happy.” Said the hexagon. “Just hop into my magical oven!” Said the shapebaker. “WOW!” Said the hexagon, for now it was a octagon! He skipped Gladly.

Once again the shape was happy. Now the things he liked to do most were a tile, a stop sign, and his favorite thing of all was to be a hole in a shopping cart. “That way I can see what the best foods are.” Said the octagon. His friends were sad because he never played with them any more.

Soon the octagon became displeased. He went back to the shapebaker. “Can you take away 5 sides and 5 angles? I want to be myself again.” “Easy as pie,” said the shapebaker. “Phew,” said the shape, for now he was once again a triangle! He ran quickly to go see his friends!

Once again the shape was exited! He loved to be a sail, a piece of pie, and his favorite thing of all was to be a end to a tent and listen to ghost stories to tell his friends. Not only was he himself again, he had learned his lesson. It’s good to be yourself!
