Guiding principles for the WC-GFOA  Ensure that the association sustains itself as a healthy and vibrant organization  Take on more of a national focus  Strengthen the GFOA brand across the country in a way that complements the identities of other GFOA groups  Work closely with Committee on Canadian Issues  Respond to the needs of our members across Canada

WC-GFOA vision, mandate, and goals Strong relationships exist with other GFOA groups Broad based membership from across the country A formalized arrangement is in place with the CCI Conferences are hosted across Canada Sustained direction through an Executive Director VISION WC-GFOA attracts the “best in finance” across local government in Canada MANDATE Continue to offer conferences that bring together the best minds and achievements, network on emerging topics, and provide insight along with expert advice on financial policy and direction

Our go-forward operational plan  Allocate budget and resources to the plan  Change bylaws to allow broad-based membership  Open communications with other GFOA organizations  Develop conferences with national issue focus  Invite finance officers from other provinces to our conferences  Explore offering conference outside the west.
